To get to the right information users need a variety of toolsets and access options to meet their particular needs. Affinity provides a range of reporting and analysis tools, from a basic filtering and listing tool within Manager Self Service to comprehensive query and modelling tools for those who have a requirement for in-depth information and analysis.
Reports can be accessed from the core application, Manager Self Service or delivered electronically via email or File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Reports may be run manually, on request, scheduled to run at regular intervals or triggered to run on an event (e.g. running of payroll, end of Accounting month, etc). Output options include, viewed on screen, in graphical form, printed hard copy, email attachment or selected from stored reports on-line.
There are many standard options for report formats including printed, PDF, Excel worksheet, Letter/mail merge, Graphs, CSV, HTML, and XML.
Affinity reporting toolsets are designed to be easy to use, as we use the principle for data selection of "what you see is what you get". This means that the users do not need complex training to obtain information. Even when not exposed to the toolsets for a prolonged period of time users find report creation simplistic. The combination of wizards, categories and templates make it easy and quick to point, click or drag data, or move a selection of data from database to Excel or any other chosen format.

The security profile of the user is checked to ensure they can run the report and what data they are permitted to view.
