Affinity Roster Management is an integrated module designed to make roster management fast and easy! You can roster by group, individual, skill set, job or task. Once you create a Roster the Payroll system generates the cost of the Roster to compare with budgets.

Rosters are colour coded and can be linked to shifts by a simple drag and drop, fast data entry keys or graphical slide bars make it simple to use. Comparisons and modelling enables users to optimise labour whilst assigning the appropriate level of resource and skills.

Rosters can be rolling forward or copied forward or imported from third party applications such as Excel.

As rosters are inputted, Affinity payroll engine is calculating in real time the payroll costs including on-costs, allowances, loading and overtime of each shift/Roster. Cost comparisons to labour and sales budgets can be viewed to establish variance. The system can also notify managers if budgets have been exceeded or excessive hours worked, and the costs incurred.

Creating a Roster Group

A Roster Group is a selection of people who are designated to perform a task. There is no limit to the number of Roster Groups available.

Shift Planning

Managers may create unlimited shifts, a shift simply being a set of hours an employee may work. When creating a shift, users can allow for start/stop work times, breaks, job costing, and/or skills associated with the shift. Affinity Roster Management will automatically calculate the correct payment for the shift.

Calculation of Roster Demand

myRoster users may define the amount of resource required for each roster or, alternatively, define the workload and use productivity or labour standards to calculate number of staff required. myRoster advises the user when they have the optimum number of staff.

Roster Creation Simplified

Rosters are simple to create. The user selects a roster Group date range and the system displays a calendar view, detailing the roster and relevant Shift along with workload requirements. The User simply selects a shift and drags the shift to the employee, the system then graphical displays the employees assigned to the shifts. Once a roster has been created for a period the roster can simply be copied forward to a future period.

Costing Rosters

myRoster is a 'Date Range' driven costing system enabling both past and future Roster Costs to be reported upon. This allows managers to easily create Rosters and compare to future period budgeted labour costs and make any necessary adjustments. Once a Roster has been worked and timesheets updated, the system graphically displays real time, actual labour costs vs budgeted roster costs and details of any variance.

Graphical Displays that Make it Easy

myRoster has period and daily graphical views of Actual Labour Costs vs Budgeted or Rostered Labour costs. Variances are easily identified when displayed graphically. Managers may drill down into day/hours data to establish why the variance occurred, getting the information they need for better planning, resource utilisation and labour cost reduction.

Automatic Timesheets

Once a Roster is created, myRoster automatically converts the Roster into timesheets.
